Charlie & Dean
Having both previously studied photography, we met on a Graphic Design course in 2001 and have got along famously ever since. After working separately within the photographic industry, we decided to set up Biggerpixel Wedding Photography as a joint venture - four eyes are better than two! Our styles are quite different, but we share a passion for gorgeous imagery. Biggerpixel brings together our different styles so clients get the best of both worlds. We love photographing weddings - it’s hard work, but it’s a fabulous feeling when we get such amazing feedback from our clients.
Charlie says: I love capturing people’s expressions and personality through a lens. After showing a keen interest in photography from a young age, I was given my first proper camera on my fourteenth birthday. I haven't stopped taking photos since! At 19 I went off to study professional photography, where I learnt traditional techniques (back in the days of film) and that's when I began photographing weddings. I also specialise in children and family portraits.
Charlie loves: Weddings and all the trimmings, British weather, fields and flowers, the South Coast, kid’s attitudes, traveling and coming home!
Dean says: I also became interested in photography from an early age. My parents gave me a plastic camera when I was 6 years old and I used to love taking our holiday snaps with it. It was in my early 20’s that I began to get seriously excited about photography though – I even turned my bedroom into a permanent studio/darkroom! I studied photography in Brighton and it was shortly afterwards that I was commissioned to do my first shoot with Toyah Willcox. Our working relationship blossomed and I later went on to become her official photographer. Other famous faces I have worked with include Boy George, Samantha Fox and Beverley Knight.
